Backyard Golf Game Review
Take me out to the golf game, take me out with the crowd. Chip in some golf balls and make the shot, I don’t care if I don’t make a lot!
Golfer Up is a brand new and super fun game that helps improve your chipping all while having a great time. Using the general rules of baseball and the skills of golf, this game is in a league of its own.
Basic rules: you and your opponent each shoot until you get three outs; a ball in the hole translates to a base runner on that base or a home run for the top three holes; if you hit the box that’s a strike; miss completely that’s an out. I’m sure you can figure out the rest.
Besides the innovative gameplay and the attractive design, what stood out most was the ease of set up. Not only is the game very light and transportable, but everything packs right up into a briefcase like shape. When you are ready to play just release the latches, unfold the game, take out the home plate/balls and start playing. This is a huge differentiating factor, as most other golf games require a good deal of set up or are fairly large to transport.
I also love the mini foam golf ball sized baseballs and the home plate shaped chipping mat. This is a creative way to play to the theme. It was surprisingly easy to manage the control of the balls too. Even though they are much lighter than a real ball they still take a similar flight pattern. The only downside to this game is that you probably shouldn’t use a real golf ball. It would dent the hell out of the metal surface.
Overall @golferupgame is a winner in my book. Word of advise, make sure you take a few cuts before you start your game!
